April 25. Speaker of the Chamber Nurlan Nigmatulin chaired in the Mazhilis the first extended meeting of the Organizing Committee on preparation and holding of the IV Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments themed “Greater Eurasia: Dialogue. Trust. Partnership”, which will take place on September 23-24 in Nur-Sultan.
The upcoming meeting of parliamentarians is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Eurasian integration initiative of the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Stressing that today the Eurasian initiative of the President demonstrates its effectiveness and great potential to the world, Chairman of Mazhilis noted that the international parliamentary community is interested in the opportunity in the capital of Kazakhstan to discuss topical issues and ways to ensure sustainable development of the Eurasian space.
Delegations from around 70 countries are expected to participate.
The Organizing Committee members considered the readiness for the upcoming parliamentary forum, which promises to be a major international political event of this autumn.
